Schools and Bandaged Bear Appeal, the perfect combination!
Each year schools around NSW host a range of teddy bear-themed events to raise funds for The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
Favourite events include:
- Teddy Bear Picnics, with bake stalls, games and activities for students.
- Bear Clinics, having children bring their favourite bear to school and participate in a health clinic, learning about the ways doctors can fix health issues and donating a gold coin to have their bear seen to by a doctor.
- Bandaged Bear Breakfast, selling healthy food choices to kids, encouraging them to bring their bear to breakfast and learn about The Children’s Hospital at Westmead
You can host any event during March and raise funds for the vital support provided at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
A range of resources are available to download to help promote and run your event.
The annual Bandaged Bear Day Schools Challenge is running again in 2017, with the school that raises the most funds per student to receive a trophy and a science prize pack, which includes a 10” Pendopad tablet and a range of science activity resources to encourage interactive learning.
There are lots of ways schools can support the hospital
