The Emerald Ball is an annual event that raises much needed funds for Kids Rehab at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

This year’s Emerald Ball was held on Saturday 19 May at ICC Sydney, where 1,020 patients, friends, staff, volunteers and supporters of the Kids Rehab community came together for our premier fundraising event.

In true Emerald Ball tradition, guests were captivated throughout the night with performances by Aussie rock legend Jimmy Barnes, Kasey Chambers, David Campbell and one of Australia’s most versatile Comedians, Mr Darren Carr! Emcees Sami Lukis and David Campbell did a wonderful job ensuring the blockbuster order of events went smoothly.

Included in the entertainment line-up were Aerialize, the incredible, high energy Furnace and the Fundamentals—who ensured the party continued well into the night—and our Auctioneer Fred Frangi did an outstanding job in the Live Auction.

There were lots of giveaways, prizes, fabulous items in both the silent and live auction where one lucky guest walked away with a brand-new Subaru XV, thanks to our Platinum Sponsor McGrath Subaru Liverpool.

Most importantly, over $1million was raised which will help fund rehabilitation treatment programs for children with disabilities including Acquired Brain Injury, Cerebral Palsy, Limb Loss, Spinal Cord Injury/Disease, Spina Bifida and Complex Musculoskeletal Disorders.

We’d like to sincerely thank all our sponsors, donors, suppliers and guests for their support and generosity over the years. You play a vital role in our operation and it’s only with your support Kids Rehab can continue to achieve the high standards in patient care and research. Once again, many thanks for your wonderful contribution.
