Bandaged Bear Appeal
A wrap on Bandaged Bear Appeal 2020
The annual Bandaged Bear Appeal has built an iconic name for itself and this year, we painted the town orange.
Here are just some of the highlights from Bandaged Bear Appeal 2020:
- The orange carpet was rolled out for our patients, their families and our staff for the Hospital launch of the Appeal. To help celebrate, Bandaged Bear had some special friends visit including Nick Jr's PAW Patrol, Kindifarm, superheroes, Disney princesses and face painting. Check out the photos here.
- On Bandaged Bear Day, our wonderful volunteers were out across Sydney train stations selling Bandaged Bear Appeal merchandise. Our teams were at Blacktown, Westmead, Parramatta, Redfern, Central, Martin Place, Town Hall, Circular Quay and Wynyard from 6 am.
- For the first time this year, the Bandaged Bear Appeal opened its online store! For those who couldn't make it to the train stations, the official Bandaged Bear merchandise was available for purchase on www.bandagedbear.org.au/shop.
- Our very own Bandaged Bear went on a road trip to Orange to surprise one of your ambassadors, nine-year-old Blair. Bandaged Bear and Blair hung out for the day and even got interviewed by 9News Central West.
A big thank you to the local community and general public who helped us raise much needed funds to go towards the very latest medical equipment, lifesaving research and essential services for sick kids and their families.
