I'm holding an event to raise funds for The Children's Hospital at Westmead!
On 31st May it is Cystic Fibrosis day. Shane has decided to shave his beard off to raise money for the CF clinic at Westmead. On the 31st May Shane will be shaving his beard off so let’s get behind him and support this amazing cause!
Here’s why he wants to do it...”I have had my beard nearly three years now and I told myself i would never take it off. I spend more time and money on my beard keeping it groomed and tidy than i do anything else. The only hair i have on my head is my beard so i guess thats why i respect the beard and love it so much. I seriously cant imagine not having it again, i have actually shed a tear thinking about it being shaved off.
But at the end of the day having a beard is something that can be obsessed over and taken for granted, just like being able to breathe! We all dont really give a second thought about breathing yet those who suffer from CF dont get a choice. It can be a daily struggle for them to breathe. Shaving my beard off is a good way to acknowledge the smaller things in life really dont matter.
Let’s raise as much money as possible by May 31st and the beard goes!! Thanks in advance for your donations to the Cystic Fibrosis clinic at the Westmead Children’s Hospital.
